Etsy Love ~ Bookish Brooch Appreciation

TRAVEL

Lately, I’ve been looking for some ways to add quirky cuteness to my dressier outfits. I can’t wear comics-related tees or Star Wars sweatshirts to work so I need subtler (okay, or not so subtle) ways to geekify my clothes. Jewelry’s one way to go, of course, but I’m a bit of a fidgeter and can’t really be trusted not to annoy people by messing with a necklace charm or bracelet clasp.

Brooches, then, seem like a safer route to go.

I love so many of the brooches you can find on Etsy. While chain stores tend to go with large and shiny brooches, you can find all sorts of sewn, painted, and even cross-stitched brooches and pins on Etsy.

Since I both work in a library and am a total book nerd, I thought it would be fun to track down some of my favorite bookish brooches to share with you all. Hopefully, I’ll be able to narrow down to a personal favorite because I’d pretty much love to wear any of these to work.
